Many cultures . . . beliefs
 many similarities . . . differences
Yet
pursue same goal
PEACE

Wake up hopeful
countries not at war . . . but at peace
 Hope fleeing
 many displaced globally
 separated from homeland . . . heritage . . . loved ones
 survive in squalor
 meals leave one hungry
 breath stale lung-choking particles
live in fear . . . real or imagined

 Global citizens must
 unite . . . request . . . demand
 government leaders
 be accountable for the
trust and authority we the people
 have awarded them
 to act on our behalf

 Work collaboratively . . . strategically
 toward win-win
 not zero-sum
 Citizens . . . Scholars . . . Leaders
 build . . . nourish . . . sustain
 a Green World
 clean air . . . water
 abundant life in sky . . . land . . . sea
Every human blossoms . . . reaching potential
 dream of equality a reality
communities . . . no color ethnic religious disputes
 Peaceful world absent of wars
gladly bestows to our children . . . grandchildren
 or
a world spiraling out of control
 countries think only of self-interest
 want to have it all
 lust after what others have
 even invade under disguise
 and in the end
 destroy humanity

 Let the Road to PEACE
 begin with me . . . you . . . they
Each of us takes the first step and perhaps . . . yes . . . perhaps . . . by our examples . . . world leaders will follow
